Become a lifeguard

Ruidoso Parks & Recreation is offering American Red Cross Lifeguard Training for ages 16+ with three session options in March, April and May 2026. Participants learn water rescue skills, CPR, and first aid while earning lifeguard certification. The $100 course fee is refunded once participants begin working as Village of Ruidoso lifeguards.

Join the Toss No Mas Cleanup hosted by Ruidoso Parks and Recreation on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Wingfield Park. Youth groups and sports leagues can earn $10 per member for groups of 10 or more. Trash bags, gloves, drinks, and hot dogs will be provided.
