The Municipal Swimming Pool opens Memorial Day Weekend with daily public swim through August 8, while the Wibit Water Park returns to Grindstone Lake starting May 23, 2026. Participants learn water rescue skills, CPR, and first aid while earning lifeguard certification. The $100 course fee is refunded once participants begin working as Village of Ruidoso lifeguards.

Don’t miss the first annual WagFest 2026 at Wingfield Park in Ruidoso on May 2 from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Featuring a Pet Parade, Pet Costume Contest, live music by Cody Jones, food trucks, vendors, and family-friendly fun. A sweet new spring tradition for dog lovers and visitors alike!
Keep Ruidoso Beautiful and Parks and Recreation is hosting a Great American Cleanup at Wingfield Park on May 3, 2026, from 1 pm to 4 pm. Food and prize giveaways for volunteers. Registration begins at 12:30 pm. Gloves, vests, bags, and t-shirts are provided.

Celebrate the Fourth of July with the Run White & Blue 5K on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at 10 AM on The Links Trail in Ruidoso. Part of the Run Ruidoso race series, this all-ages event welcomes runners and walkers alike.
