The Ruidoso Ice Skating Rink returns to Wingfield Park for the 2026–27 winter season, opening Saturday, November 28, 2026.

Located at 300 Center Street in the heart of Ruidoso, the seasonal outdoor rink offers winter recreation for residents and visitors through Presidents’ Day, February 15, 2027.

2026–27 Season Dates

Opening Day: Saturday, November 28, 2026

Closing Day: Monday, February 15, 2027 (Presidents’ Day)

Regular Hours

Weekdays: 5:00 PM–8:00 PM

Saturdays and Sundays: 11:00 AM–8:00 PM

Holiday Hours

From December 19, 2026, through January 5, 2027, the rink will be open daily from 11:00 AM–8:00 PM, with the following exceptions:

Thursday, December 24: 11:00 AM–5:00 PM

Friday, December 25: CLOSED

Thursday, December 31: 11:00 AM–5:00 PM

Admission and Skate Rental

Day Pass with Skate Rental: $20 per person

Day Pass with Your Own Skates: $12 per person

Ruidoso Resident Season Pass: $20 per person

All sales are final. No refunds.

Children and Supervision

Children ages 12 and younger must have a parent on the ice rink premises.

Children ages 5 and younger must have an adult on the ice with them at all times.

Rink Capacity

The ice rink has a maximum capacity of 60 skaters at one time.

When the rink reaches capacity, skating will be managed in 45-minute rotations to help accommodate waiting guests.

Weather and Closures

The ice rink will close for severe weather when necessary to ensure the safety of employees traveling home.
