The Village of Ruidoso Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of recreational services and programs for both children and adults.
Ruidoso Parks and Rec has something for everybody - year-round. Whether it’s hiking, biking, fishing, swimming or competitive sports, Ruidoso has it all. You can bike mountain trails, walk through the forest, paddle on a lake, view wildlife, fish, join a sports team, or just go out and play with family and friends.
Registration is now open for Ruidoso’s Adult Co-Ed Flag Football League! Open to ages 18+, the 6-week season welcomes both walk-on players and full teams. Summer 2025 Update: Wibit Water Park Opening Delayed Due to Low Water Levels: The 2025 opening of the Ruidoso Wibit Water Park at Grindstone Lake is delayed due to low water levels and will not take place on Memorial Day weekend. A new evaluation is planned for mid-June to determine if setup will be possible later this summer. The Municipal Pool will open as scheduled on Memorial Day weekend on 5/24/25 at 11:00 a.m. For more info, call 575-257-5030.

Campers will fish, hike, practice survival and orienteering skills, play outdoor sports, visit the zoo and space museum, tour a fire station, and cool off at the pool. Join us for a second week of nature, exploration, and new friends! Campers ages 7–12 will enjoy fishing, hiking, archery, kite flying, a space museum field trip, fire station tour, and more. Celebrate Independence Day Weekend with the Run White & Blue 5K Color Run—part of the Run Ruidoso 2025 race series! Join us at 8 AM at Moon Mountain for a fun, family-friendly run with chalk stations, medal prizes, and T-shirt giveaways. $25 entry supports the Lincoln County Food Bank.
