Ruidoso Public Pool & Wibit Water Park: Summer 2026 Opening Update

Plan your summer splash in Ruidoso! The Municipal Swimming Pool opens Memorial Day Weekend with daily public swim through August 8, while the Wibit Water Park returns to Grindstone Lake starting May 23, 2026. Enjoy family fun, pool parties, and lake recreation all summer long. Parking fees and holiday reservations apply.


Municipal Swimming Pool:

  • Location: 515 Sudderth Drive

  • Opening Time: 11:00 a.m. (Memorial Day Weekend) 05/23/2026 .

  • Public Hours: 11:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

  • Pool Party Reservations: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Catalog - Village of Ruidoso, NM

  • Last Day for Public Swimming: August 8th (Pool Party available)

  • Closure: August 9, 2026

  • Fee: $5 per person (includes swimming and slide)

  • Note: No Pool Party rentals on the day before closing due to Pooch Party preparation.

Wibit Water Park:

  • Location: Grindstone Lake, 111 Wiggins Way, off Resort Drive, Ruidoso

  • 2026 Opening Date: Memorial Day Weekend (5/23/26)

  • Opening Time: 10:00 a.m.

  • Operating Hours: The Wibit Water Park is open daily from Memorial Day Weekend through August 8, 2026, and then operates weekends only. Daily hours are 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, weather and staffing permitting.

  • Day Use Fee: $20 per person. Cards only. No cash.

Season Passes

Please note: Season passes are available to local residents only and must be purchased through the Parks Office with proof of residency.

Individual Season Pass (Pool + Wibit): $60

Individual Recreation Pass (Pool + Wibit + Ice Rink): $75

Family Season Pass (Pool + Wibit): $250 for 5 people, $40 per additional person

Family Recreation Pass (Pool + Wibit + Ice Rink): $300 for 5 people, $40 per additional person

SUMMER RESERVATIONS SYSTEM:

In an effort to preserve our natural resources and manage visitor capacity, the Village of Ruidoso will require paid parking from May 23 through September 7.
