Grindstone Canyon Master Plan: Public Meetings and Updates →

November 20, 2020

Due to the increased popularity of Grindstone Canyon and the impacts associated with increased use, the Village has embarked on a master planning process for the area.

Beginning in the Summer of 2020, the Village engaged with residents and visitors to learn about their ideas for the types of recreational amenities they would like to see at The Grindstone Recreation Area. Ultimately, the goal is to ensure that future improvements of Grindstone Canyon will continue to meet the needs of Ruidoso residents and visitors.

A virtual public meeting was held on November 12th, and included an update from the project team and feedback from the participants. There will be another virtual public meeting early in December.

Please visit our Grindstone Project website for project updates, public meetings, and email notifications.
