Beautifully lit and fantastically festive, the Festival of Lights–Parade of Lights starts at 5:30 pm from the corner of Sudderth and Mechem through Midtown, down to the Chamber of Commerce.

Celebrate the magic of the season at Christmas in the Park! Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with music, ice skating, and holiday fun. Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive with Mayor Crawford for the tree lighting around 6 p.m., followed by sleigh rides, photos with Santa, and a chance for kids to receive a free toy. Lights on display through January 31, 2026.

Join the fun at Ruidoso’s 11th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk on November 29, 2025! The final race in the Ruidoso Run Series kicks off at 10 a.m. on the Links Trail. The first 50 runners have the chance to receive a free T-shirt and the first 70 finishers earn a participation medal. In-person registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the White Mountain Recreation Complex.

Join the Toss No Mas Cleanup hosted by Ruidoso Parks and Recreation on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Wingfield Park. Break out the small rods and reels for young anglers to test their skills at Grindstone Lake's 28th Youth Fishing Day on Saturday, June 3, 2022, from 8 am to 1 pm. The event is free and open to children 12 and younger.

Join us in collaboration with Dynamic Discs of New Mexico as we host their annual glow-in-the-dark disc golf tournament! There will be an adult glow game of an 18-hole tournament (front nine twice) at Grindstone Disc Golf Course, with kids pre-glow play at 5 pm. Tee times will be staggered every 12 minutes from 8-9 pm.
