Amidst wide swaths of lawn, a grove of pine trees offers a woodland feel and a beautiful place for reflection. Situated on a 21-acre tract of mountain land, with 2,009 traditional burial lots and 1,063 cremation lots, Gavilan Gardens Memorial cemetery is Ruidoso's newest municipal cemetery and only cemetery in town with lots for purchase.

To purchase space for an urn or casket in Gavilan Memorial Gardens cemetery, contact the Village cemetery office within the Ruidoso Parks and Rec department at 575-257-5030. Fees for placements of urns or caskets and related services are available upon request.

Provide 48 hours notice to the cemetery office prior to a requested time for service. Available hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, except legal holidays. 

Daily visitation is permitted from dawn to dusk.
